Lucy R. Mayville
Lucy is the Treasurer and a Board Member of The Gabbie Scheffer Foundation. She manages all accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections, general ledger maintenance, and the chart of accounts, while establishing and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with best industry practices. She coordinates with external vendors, ensuring general ledger accuracy for payments and tracking and preparing financial reports for board meetings.
About Me
Lucy brings over 30 years of administrative experience in office management, accounting, and human resources (HR). She assisted in developing and implementing firm policies and procedures; managed and oversaw the administration of HR policies, programs, and practices within the company; she maintained accounts payable, receivables, and monthly billing.

The foundation was created by Lucy’s daughter, Jeanne, in memory of her daughter and Lucy’s granddaughter, Gabriella L. Scheffer, who lost her life to substance use disorder (SUD) in March 2019.
Lucy attended the State University of New York in Cobleskill, New York. She has been a resident of Grass Lake, Michigan, since 1998, and since her retirement, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, reading, gardening, cooking, and baking.
